Facial Acupuncture, Microcurrent and LED Light Therapy Research

  • In a study in 1987,  Microcurrent was found to increase DNA protein and Collagen synthesis.
  • In a 1992 study, a combination of Facial Acupuncture and Microcurrent facials improved signs of aging by 70%.  The treatment consisted of 10 - 15 treatments followed by regular "booster" treatments.  It helped increase collagen and elastin fibers in the skin.
  • Studies show that among 300 cases treated with facial acupuncture, 90% had marked beneficial results with only one course of treatment (International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture, 1996).
  • A 2005 study in Denmark established that LED Light Therapy boosts Collagen.
  • Low-energy photon irradiation by light in the far-red to near-IR spectral range with low-energy (LLLT) lasers or LED arrays has been found to modulate various biological processes in cell culture and animal models. This phenomenon of photobiomodulation has been applied clinically in the treatment of soft tissue injuries and the acceleration of wound healing." NASA
